On the morning of November 9, the “The Third International Design Works Exchange Exhibition 2019”, hosted by our school,co-organized by the Korea Communication and Design Association and Howon University of South Korea, was grandly opened in Qilu Art Museum.
A delegation of 12 from the Korea Communication and Design Association and Howon University made a special trip to Jinan to attend the opening ceremony. Ding Xibin, Party Secretary of SDAEU, Zhang Zhaoming, Vice President, Sun Lewei, Director of the Office of Sports, Health, and Art of Education of Shandong Education Department, and experts from Tsinghua University, Shandong University, Shandong University of Art & Design, Qilu University of Technology, Shandong Normal University, Shandong Woman University, Ludong University and other provinces’ universities attended the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, Vice President Zhang Zhaoming delivered a speech on behalf of the school. He pointed out that “Appreciate the Beauty,Share the Beauty”, every civilization deserves to be looked up to and respected, and every outstanding cultures and arts of all countries are the crystallization of beauty. He hoped that through the holding of this event, we will promote the world communication and dialogue between different cultures, coexistent harmoniously.
Sun Lewei, Director of the Office of Sports, Health, and Art of Education of Shandong Education Department, pointed out in his speech that Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University has held an international design exhibition for three consecutive years, which fully reflects the responsibility andobligation of a university. The experience and practices ofour school will be vigorously promoted by the Office of Sports, Health, and Art in universities of Shandong. The holding of such activity will surely play a positive role in promoting the exchange of art design culture and improving the quality of art design talents.
This exhibition is another deepening and expansion of the results of previous cooperation between our university and Korean universities and the Korea Communication and Design Association. The theme of this exhibition is “Communication---Appreciate the Beauty,Share the Beauty”, more than 240 teachers and designers from 28 countries and regions around the world, more than 30 colleges and universities in China participated, more than 240 works were on the exhibition. The number of participating countries, the number of exhibitors and the number of works have reached a record high. The event was reported by dozens of mainstream media, including Shandong Education TV, Phoenix TV, Sohu News, Sina News, Netease News,and so on.
In order to further promote the development of our university's international communication work and improve the level of art and design disciplines, during the opening ceremony, our school signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Korean Communication and Design Association. The two sides will, through activities in the fields of talent training, professional competitions, academic exchanges, and design exhibitions, promote long-term communication between Chinese and foreign culture and art design.
