On the afternoon of November 20th, Cao Chengxuan, director of the International Exchange Office of Dankook University of South Korea, visited our school. Tang Xin, the director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and Yang Xiangli, the dean of the School of Agriculture Science and Technology, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Cao Chengxuan and his delegation. Staff from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and the School of Agriculture Science and Technology attended the meeting.
The meeting was held in the conference room on the third floor of the training building of the Jibei campus. At the meeting, Professor Tang Xin of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office first extended a warm welcome to Mr. Cao Chengzhang from afar. Then Professor Yang Xiangli, Director of the School of Agriculture Science and Technology, briefly introduced the development history, professional characteristics, development strategy, and majors of Garden Technology of theschool, and hoped to be able to do a good job of the “International Bachelor Program of Garden Technology” that the two parties will cooperate and achieve more fruitful results in the nearly future. Cao Chengxuan,the International Exchange Office of Dankook University, briefly explained the international cooperation model and operation methods, scholarship policies for foreign students, major settings and advantages of Dankook University. The two sides had a fruitful discussion on the specific operational matters of the Project, and expressed their expectations and confidence in the project. Afterwards, the two parties signed the“Agreement for the International Bachelor Program between Garden Technology of Shandong Agriculture and Engineering University in China and Green Landscaping of Dankook University in South Korea”.
After the meeting, a lecture was held for the Program and more than 100 students from the School of Agriculture Science and Technology attended the lecture. Director Cao Chengxuan explained in detail the admission requirements, tuition fees and preferential policies, accommodation environment, campus activities, etc. The students listened carefully, actively asked questions, and showed a strong interest in theProgram. They all expressed a lot of gains, and hoped to go to Dankook University in South Korea to further study and exchange.
Founded in 1947, Dankook University (Korean:단국대학교) is the first four-year private comprehensive university established after the restoration ofSouthKorea. There are two campuses: Jukjeon Campus in Gyeonggi-do and Cheonan Campus in Chungcheongnam-do. The school currently has more than 35,000 students, 23 colleges, 93 majors, and has 82 masters degree, 77 doctoral programs, as well as affiliated hospitals and 68 research institutes.
