From December 3 to 10, 2018, at the invitation of the Chinese Culture University of Taiwan, in accordance with the arrangement of the school, under the leadership of Wang Mingjing, the director of the Academic Affairs Office, a group of 13 teachers from our school went to Taiwan to apply the trainingandexchanges of applied talents. The training group mainly learned about the teaching system, experimental equipment, talent training mode and the development of Taiwan's smart agriculture in the way of experts lectures, observation visits, and discussion and exchanges, andfurther expanded the cooperation between our university and Taiwan universities in the areas of teacher exchange, student exchange, and academic exchange.
The training group mainly listened to lectures from experts such as Professor Cui Guoqiang from National Ilan University, Professor Yuan Mingjian from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Director Xu Xingrong from the Art College of National Taiwan University of Arts, and Professor Wang Fengxu from Ming Chuan University. Through the study,the members of the training team conducted in-depth and detailed understanding of Taiwan's education system and the teaching mode and professional content of different universities in Taiwan. During the discussion,the members of the traininggroup and the experts conducted a heated and effective discussion on the topic of the lecture and the professional field, which inspired the members of the training group to think creatively about the professional setting, teaching methods and talents training.
During the training, the group also visited three Taiwan universities including National Taipei University of Technology, Chinese Culture University and National Chung Hsing University. The training group mainly observed the leading GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) internship factory and iron ore laboratory of the Biotechnology Museum of National Taipei University of Technology; the laboratory construction and on-site teaching mode of the School of Nutrition and Health Sciences of the Chinese Culture University;the construction of the library and the plant hospitals featured in National Chung Hsing University. At the same time of the visit, the training group also held discussions with relevant universities, and conducted detailed communication on teachers andstudents exchanges, and scientific research cooperation.
The training group also observed the City Bear Ecological Farm, a demonstration base for eco-agriculture circular economy, which relies on modern biotechnology to achieve a small-scale agricultural recycling economy. Professor Chen Shixiong, the farm owner, has been closely combining teaching with scientific research and ecological agriculture for decades, advocates zero-pollution, zero-emission ecological agriculture, and creates an organic ecological small-scalefarm farming mode, which has benefited the members of the training group greatly.
The training was rich in content and targeted, the groupmembersgained a lot. Through exchanges,they have a broader and deeper understanding, which has enhanced friendship and mutual trust, and laid a good foundation for the realization of multi-field cooperation between our university and Taiwan universities.
