Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the selection results of the "Second National Teaching Demonstration of Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Colleges and Universities and Observation Activities of Excellent Courses". Teacher Shi Qian from the School of Marxism of SDAEU won the first prize in the "Ideological Morality and Rule of Law" teaching demonstration class. In this competition, a total of 6 teachers from undergraduate and vocational colleges in Shandong Province won the first prize.

This event is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and participated by the national university ideological and political theory course teachers. The purpose of this event is to thoroughly study and implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the symposium of teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools, especially the spirit of the important instructions of ideological and political courses to cultivate and publicize a group of outstanding ideological and political teachers who are credible, respectable, reliable, and willing to be promising, and stimulate the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of teachers to seriously teach ideological and political theory courses.

This activity was launched in April this year. After selection and registration, uploading teaching resources, form review, online review and other parts, it took several months for teacher Shi Qian to stand out from nearly 110,000 ideological and political teachers, to enter the on-site display part. Affected by the pandemic, the on-site display is divided into two steps: teaching live collection and online live broadcast. The shortlisted teachers can obtain teaching topics 30 minutes before the lecture through the smart classroom, and complete the live teaching collection. The whole display process is random and high-intensity, which fully tests the teachers' theoretical foundation, teaching accumulation and comprehensive quality.

This award shows the solid theoretical foundation and teaching quality of our school's ideological and political teachers, and is another test and affirmation of our school's ideological and political teaching work. SDAEU will take this event as an opportunity to conscientiously summarize and promote the experience of award-winning teachers, further update teaching concepts, deepen the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses, create more ideological and political "golden courses", and build SDAEU Teaching brand of the education of ideological and political theory courses.
